First off I never wanted the double doors because of the setup of my kitchen. It always seemed so incovenient when having to pass somethingout of the fridge to the counter and having the half of door in the way. My counter is to the right of the fridge and the opening of this Kitchenaid can be ordered with the opening on the side that you need...other manufacuters do not offer that feature to switch it, so be careful. The bottom freezer pullout is so useful, It also holds more than I ever thought it could. I don't believe in icemakers because I hardly use ice and when I do I use the trays, and I also feel its just another problem if the lines get clogged or leak when you have a ice maker, I am in a condo and I can not take the chance of leaks being in an upper unit. I love this refrigerator, it may not be feasable for a full family but plenty of use for a couple. I have had this unit for over a year and I can not complain one bit. Love it!

I bought this refrigerator a few months ago replacing another kitchen aid refrigerator that i had for 20 years but i was very disappointed with the quality of it compared to my old one. The interior shelves are plastic and the drawers are very flimsy. The bottom pantry door often comes of the track, resulting in frustration, very poorly made. Seems they have reduced their quality of their product over the years. I also bought this model because of the produce preserver option. When i received the refrigerator it did not come with this. False advertising!! If i had known that i would have not bought this model. It also does not even come with a bucket or trays to hold ice cubes. The refrigerator also makes a humming noise not as quiet as my old model. I am hoping this refrigerator lasts half as long as my old one but i do not have high expectations because of the poor construction and cheap materials and the way it was made. I would not recommend this product for the price, the quality just isn't there.

Purchased sight on seen. Apprehensive buyers remorse was quickly dissolved. Keeps things cold or frozen as we like with #3 settings above and below. So easy to arrange, find and store items. LED lights and design makes it a dream not a nightmare to open and close even with hands full. My only regret? Delaying this purchase.
It does smudge easily. Also the door must be closed or it will remain open, but this is a small concern I'll gladly accept for its performance.

Bought the previous version of this a couple years ago. We used it a couple times a week. About 6 months ago it just stopped cleaning. Called to get it serviced which was then out of warranty period, so that cost us a couple hundred just to get them to look at it and tell us it was likely the motor and it'd be about $400 and up to fix it if it was the motor.

I bought the refrigerator a month ago. It fits my expectations. Easy to clean and perfect for our needs. Nice feature with little holder for wine to cool. Bottom freezer is well laid out and handy. The sound of fridge is quiet. Nice stainless steel and good quality. Very happy with it.

This is my 3rd KA refrigerator. I just got rid of one 26 years old that was still running and used for overflow! The last one I had did need some repair work but is now taking place of the older one. I find this new one doesn't have some of the things my last one had but is a good refrigerator. There are no storage bins include for the freezer for instance. Also doesn't seem as heavy as my older fridge. Works well so far and matches my other KA appliances so happy with that.

I had this installed a few weeks ago. I thought the installer must have really screwed up because at this price surely the top panel where the door was reversed should at least have some plastic piece to fill the hole. I went back to my sales person who said Kitchen Aid confirmed that this is correct. I would not recommend spending $1,800 and having a new appliance look like this.

just replaced a 20 year old amana (same family/same guts) fridge, so the core of this fridge has been made for at least 20 years..how is it possible that everthing about it works worse, fits worse with no beneficial improvements other than nicer handles and door.
the crisper drawers are unusably short and fall out if you attempt to open past 1/2 way. again, how in 20+ years of a basically unchanged core design have they made no measurable steps forward.
same thoughts on condiment tray liners.... they are not even close to fitting and buckle up at the edges.
same with the freezer drawer... the drawer hardware is so janky that if you open from anywhere other than 100% center, you run the risk of knocking it off center.
the fridge door is hinged such that if you open it, it slams open instead of neutral or slight tension to close door.
freezer light switch is placed such that you can't see it, but it precariously placed such that easy to break if freezer contents are the tiniest bit overfilled. this fridge is a exercise in poor and lazy design.
the corners of the door aren't welded or otherwise invisibly fininhed and mine had untrimmed foam coming out and had to trim off the foam and color what was still visible from beneath with a silver sharpie to hide their poor quality control.
would i buy it again... not if i had a choice, but due to a clueless architect this (or its almost identical siblings... amana, whirlpool + maytag), believe it or not, this is the nicest fridge that will fit in my odd fridge hole.
so why did i buy the kitchenaid when the other brands, even with stainless doors cost HALF the price? because the other 3 brands scared a otherwise nice stainless door with extra holes plugged with cheap plastic plugs for the handles in case customer wants to change the swing of the door. kitchenaid had enough consideration to at least offer a left hand and right hand version of the fridge and not sully the nice stainless door. and because their handles are waaaayyy nicer. the hearty stainless handles with machined knurled grips give it a smart professional look on the outside (even though it's only skin deep and junk underneath).

This frig is average at best. Significantly noisier than the 20 year old Frigidaire it replaced. Handle on door is loose and no cap to cover screw holes on top where door hinge was originally.

We've had the refrigerator for about 8 months now. It keeps everything fresh with only a mid-range temperature setting while our last fridge required a higher setting, so I'm assuming there are some energy savings. However, while it doesn't look particularly huge, the 'meat drawer' takes up more volume than we really need. Also the temperature controls are annoyingly wide and deep and we have to work around them to access milk, water ptcthers, etc. Not huge problems, just annoying.

With all the ability to store a major amount of food for my wife and I. With the two (2) crisper, we have noticed that the items in those, are lasting longer and also retain there flavor longer. The meat/cheese shelf, has served us extremely will, where we are able store our meat and cheese items,in the drawer, and it retains its freshness for longer periods also. Great job Kitchenaid. Keep up the work. We will be looking for a replacement for our stove and mircowave in 2019. I have to say we have already decide on getting them replaced with kitchenaid products.

I purchased this refrigerator in July, 2018. Love the refrigerator, but has two drawbacks. The drawers are very flimsy and light weight, and if not careful, you could accidentally pull the drawers completely out of their runners. The freezer drawers are not solid, so ice and small items fall through the holes onto the freezer bottom.

Not sure if this is the same model, but it is same size, stainless steel and same design which I purchased about 6 years ago at Bray and Scarf, Rockville, MD. I had space requirements/limitations and I wanted a modern, convenient frig, hard to find for the space limits I had, unsatisfied with everything I saw everywhere. Some of us have smaller homes and do not want, need or have the space for a massive double-door refrigerator. Bray and Scarf showed me the only thing available which was a "smaller" Kitchen Aid that had a single-door, bottom freezer and I was thrilled to find something that would work for my space requirements, and it was just beautiful. It was actually the only frig available that would have worked for my space needs. Well, here we are 6 years later and I am happier than the day I purchased this wonderful appliance. It MORE than meets my needs, and the convenience of single door/bottom freezer has made my life so much easier than before I had this wonderful frig, which is a breeze to clean. Great design, able to customize to my needs--wonderful design, wonderful refrigerator!

I've had this refrigerator for about a month now and it is outstanding. Temperatures seem very consistent and my cold cuts stay nice and fresh. It is extremely quiet and I rarely ever hear it running. The lights inside are nice and bright.
The fridge interior is smaller than my previous fridge while the freezer in this Kitchenaid is larger; I'm happy with that.
The seal is nice and tight. So tight that you have to make sure you close the butter door so your butter tray doesn't fly out!
There's absolutely nothing I dislike about this refrigerator. I would make the same choice again and I highly recommend this fridge. I had been hoping to spend a little less money, but I am not at all disappointed in my purchase. You get what you pay for.

This refrigerator was delivered in mid-April and I had service for the fourth time today. Every issue has to do with the bottom freezer which ices up. First two technicians said the seal was bad. The third tech said the brackets and glides were bad. He installed new ones today. Also, I've had to change the factory settings in the refrigerator because the food doesn't stay cold.

Bought this two months ago, as it fit our existing space well. Our old kitchenaid was 23 years old, but we wanted the convenience of the top refrigerator area. Very happy so far, with one major issue: the deli door only slides out partway and then falls down onto the bottom of the opening. Not sure if the track is faulty or if it's a design flaw.

I purchased this fridge a year ago. I have notice that RUST is now on the outside finish. I have never wash or wipe this fridge with anything other than soap and water. Not sure what Kitchen aid can do to rectify this problem. Other than this problem the fridge is great. I really don't like the finish on this fridge what so ever.

Great temperature control, everything is easily accessible, configurable shelves. Only downside is it has a bit less storage than the previous fridge with the same form factor, but we kept too much junk in there anyway.
