Great Deep Freeze

This thing has tons of space. The delivery service unpacked it in our driveway and it looked to be well packaged (no damage). Set up was as easy as plugging it in and taking off the tape from the baskets inside it. It got cold enough to keep things frozen in about 6 hours.

Freezer is well made with plenty of space for multiple butchered animals (if you™€™re into that). I use it in my garage in Ohio and it holds up to the harsh temps like a champ. Given the size, it is pretty light weight to move on its own, especially when the included casters are installed.

Seems like a great purchase, hard to really give a review after only one week. But so far so good, the packaging was done well, easy to set up. I filled it about 1/3 full so far and everything seems in order. But, let's be honest, I expect this freezer to last for 10 + years, so one week is barely scratching the surface.

I would rate the freezer a 5 star, but the delivery company would be a 1 star or less. The team was well mannered and professional that did FINALLY deliver the freezer, but they delivered it 10 days after it reached their facility! 2 weeks after the first estimated delivery date! I ordered from you instead of Lowes, because you estimated delivery was a week sooner, but after they didn't deliver it in a timely manner I had wished I would have ordered thru Lowes!!

I like the green light illumination so I know the freezer is working. I like the interior light and interior baskets. It has casters to make moving the freezer a breeze and once you have it placed where you want it, the casters can be locked so it doesn™€™t roll.

When we first got this freezer we had an elk that was freshly butchered and not yet frozen, this freezer would not get it down to an appropriate temperature in a timely manner. We had to remove the partially frozen meat and freeze it in our old upright freezer before putting it back in our new freezer. It maintains temperature fine but is slow to freeze a large quantity of meat.

Its a nice freezer and works well! Not much else to say but time will tell if it will last 20+ years like our last one. I do wish the cord was longer because there is no where in my garage where it fits and can reach an outlet. So I put in the most inconvenient area for now until I can figure out a solution because I dont want to use an extension cord. Maybe after the warranty expires I may have an appliance center hard wire a new longer cord in to it. One other thing is that the store I bought it from (a big box store that is not HD) it s advertised as a garage ready freezer but at Frigidaire it reads that is Not garage ready, I dunno... it wont bother us though since are garage is heated and air conditioned but something others should be aware of.

Cracked basket. Customer Service not helpfull

I like the freezer, however the plastic storage basket was cracked. This was discovered after I hauled the unit home and unpackaged it in my basement. Customer Service requires me to return the ENTIRE UNIT to the store. There is no way I would be able to repack the freezer with all the broken foam packaging pieces. We are talking about a shoe box sized plastic basket here that could be easily shipped without the unnecessary cost and time by all parties of a full return/replacement.
